Poonam Sachdev Kaur is an architect and designer working across architecture, interiors, and spatial strategy. She co-founded Play Architecture in 2005 and has contributed to award-winning projects in India, while also developing work across the UK and internationally.

She holds a Master’s in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association and an MA in Environmental, Regeneration & Sustainable Design from London Metropolitan University. Her academic and professional trajectory across Europe, the US, and Asia has shaped an approach that is climate-aware, materially grounded, and attentive to context.

Her work explores how light, movement, proportion, texture, and atmosphere shape inhabitation across both buildings and interiors. Alongside her architectural practice, her experience in collectible design and functional art through a London gallery has deepened her engagement with curation, craftsmanship, and the relationship between object and space.

Based in London for over a decade, she leads Play Architecture’s international growth through business development, strategic partnerships, and cross-cultural collaborations, helping shape the studio’s direction across architecture, interiors, research, and spatial culture.
